Live. Work. Expand Your Opportunities…

Welcome to a land of contrast! The Northwest Territories is 1.35 million square kilometers of mountains, forests and tundra threaded by clean rivers feeding thousands of pristine lakes. Over 40,000 people, from all walks of life, inhabit this rugged natural beauty.

Living amidst one of Canada's most vibrant indigenous culture, means you're never far from the energy and excitement that comes from such diversity. Just steps outside our urban centers, you can view rare wildlife, from white wolves and white whales to herds of bison, prowling bears, moose and caribou by the thousands. In the crisp winter months the territory is transformed into a snowcapped wonderland. You can watch the world’s best northern lights dance through the night and spend the day snow-mobiling, ice fishing, or tobogganing. In the summer months the land is enveloped in 24-hour daylight while the sun never sets. The great outdoors beckon!

Nunavut is the largest and newest federal territory of Canada, it was separated officially from the NWT on April 1, 1999. The creation of Nunavut, meaning our land in Inuktitut, resulted in the first major change in the Canadian Map since the incorporation of the new province of Newfoundland in 1949.

Nunvut comprises a major portion of Northern Canada and most of the Canadian Arctic Archipelago, making it the fifth largest country sub-division in the world. The capital Iqaluit formerly Frobisher Bay, in the east, was chosen in 1995 capital plebisicite, Other major communities include the regional centres of Rankin Inlet and Cambridge Bay. Nunuavut also includes Ellsemere Island and eastern and southern portions of Victoria Island and Akimiski Island in James Bay to the far south.

The CPA council of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut is the smallest group within the CPA family. We pride ourselves on covering a diverse geographical land span of over 3.2 million kilometers with a population of over 70,000. We provide comprehensive physiotherapy services to some of the remotest communities on earth. ….
